Hostess Ilkay Tinmaz

Ilkay was born on 9 January 1980 in Nederhorst den Berg. She started in 2001 at sister restaurant De Proeverij in Loenen aan de Vecht and moved to Tante Koosje in 2005, which means she has been here a year longer than the chef and the maître d'.

Over the years Tante Koosje has become much more than a workplace to Ilkay. She calls the restaurant her second home, works there with real pleasure and dedication, and has become one of the familiar faces of the house.

Alongside her hospitality, Ilkay has a wide knowledge of wine and cheese. She knows better than anyone which wine suits a dish and which cheese rounds off a meal, and she is happy to share that knowledge with guests and colleagues.

With her warmth, her expertise and her love for the restaurant, Ilkay has become an indispensable part of Tante Koosje.
